(WTAJ) — What once served as the reservoir for Nanty Glo is being restored as a recreational location.
Preservation work on the dam and retaining wall at Davis Reservoir is now done, marking phase one of the restoration. The work cost more than $510,000.
Plans are underway to debut the improvements to the community at a fishing derby in May, according to Nanty Glo Borough Council member Diane Holby.
An event at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown taught students about life after college on Wednesday.
“Adulting 101: Mastering Life After Graduation” brought in professionals from a wide array of fields to help students prepare for the next phase of their lives.
“It’s important for them to understand what they need to do (after graduation),” professor of accounting Cristina DeDiana said.
