Still waiting on the next big cooldown…
TONIGHT: Light Showers. Lo 40.
FRIDAY: Breezy, Mostly Cloudy. Hi 45. Lo 28. Winds North 5-15 mph.
SATURDAY: Mild, Mostly Sunny. Hi 48. Lo 28.
Lows drop into the low 40s overnight as cloud cover helps retain a lot of the daytime heat. The arrival of a cold front early in the morning Friday will bring scattered rain shower activity into the Midstate, clearing out after sunrise. Accumulations will be light, with most getting no more than a 1/10″, although locally higher totals are possible. Conditions will become noticeably more breezy heading into Friday in the aftermath of the front, with steady winds as strong is 15 mph possible at times. Highs climb into the mid to upper 40s Friday. Friday is also groundhog day and with cloudy skies we’ll see if Phil is able to see his shadow or not.
The weekend brings lots of sun and mild afternoons in the mid-40s. Not often do we have a weekend in winter with sunny skies and highs almost 10 degrees warmer than average. Not a bad idea to make some outdoor plans! The nice weather continues into next week as a quiet pattern looks to dominate early February. We’ll keep watching and waiting for signs of life in the forecast…
